Owa Barua (b.1986) is an Edinburgh-based moving image artist whose practice expand across the fields of film, video, dance and sound.

Besides his motivations on formal approaches to his practice, Owa is interested in exploring the relationship between perception, experience and memory, while seeking structures through his affinities towards the realms of myths and rituals.

His work have been selected and awarded at several international film festivals, and also installed at the National Gallery of Victoria (Melbourne), Southbank Centre (London), Museo de Arte Contemporaneo in Santiago, The National Museum of New Zealand Te Papa, the University of Bath, Mediawall and Theatermuseum, Vienna.
